Fred Ziffel
Fred Ziffel is a simple and laid back farmer and the neighbor of Oliver and Lisa Douglas. He is also the husband of Doris Ziffel and the "father" of Arnold Ziffel. He manages the pig farm in Hooterville and grows several crops as well.

By the time of the events in Return to Green Acres, Fred along with his wife have passed away and are the only confirmed deceased characters. Their tombstones are briefly seen being visited by Arnold who leaves flowers for his beloved parents.
